Dr. Seuss wasn’t really well known when I was a lad, but I loved Nathaniel Hawthorne’s Tanglewood Tales. I remember a huge poster on the classroom wall of the abduction of Persephone by Hades, on a chariot. Unusual for a junior school, I know, but the memory is still vivid.
Any road up, thanks for your post Janis,
Lots love.
