Mary just passed…at 103…I will miss my Dearest Mary…My inspiration personally and professionally…
We began our journey….Teaching back in the seventies when teaching had such opportunities and hope ..
This special opportunity arose in the summer of seventy-five, when Mr.Irby, our principal at Alachua Elementary, offered me a co-teaching position with Mary, to a newly federally funded, called ECPC… The Early Childhood Preventative Curriculum Program…
This innovative program was designed as an intervention for diverse, young children who were screened in kindergarten, exhibiting difficulties with their learning…
Many of our children went on to have successful lives; some going into local politics, and a few playing collegiate and professional football…
And from then on…Mary was to be my inspiration…💗💜💕🍎🦋

Hi Janis, My thoughts go with you on your loss of your dear friend. Friendship is the greatest manifestation of love. If we are truly spiritual in nature, as I am, then we can take comfort in knowing our souls are safe on passing and that we will meet our loved ones again. It matters what legacy we leave behind, be that wisdom or inspiration to do what we feel we really must. Love, joy and peace. Andrew.
