I understand your feeling excited and just a little apprehensive, though, in my case, not about a new intake of children. Mine concerns projects I do for my garden, and in the past, the Hotel gardens I’ve worked for. I’m not comparing, of course. Today I have finished ‘preserving’ my birdbath I started two years ago. I used a plastic one my sister-in-law gave us, beefed it up with old polystyrene and chicken wire and then coated it in a hyper-tufa mix. The bad mistake was I chose the wrong proportions to make it with, and it started to fall apart. Well, after various rescue attempts, I decided to give it a shell of polyester resin, coat after coat.
Now, it’ll stand up to any weather, but the down side, apart from using a fossil fuel derivative, which wasn’t the idea initially, the stuff has given me a headache!
Oh well, the things we do for the love of it. In a sense, you, like I, take a raw material and transform it into the thing it wants to be, using skills at our disposal. In my case, that includes lots of imagination/intuition. But then my ‘creations’ are all private, and don’t go out into life prepared to meet it head on, having been inspired by the best teacher the world has ever known!
And that’s just how I think of you, Janis. The world is a better place, knowing a new generation is coming along that will respond better to all that life throws at them. Thank You.
    Love,joy,peace. me.

Dearest Andrew…I so appreciate your beautiful words always….I do feel we share a passion and a compassion for the world, and what we inspire in others….One day if I can ever travel, if only in my dreams I would like to visit England and see your beautiful garden! Janis
