Our Humanity…Our Children

I learned early on in life to speak out for those in need…

I wanted to become a teacher for all children…and make a difference….I spent thirty-eight years teaching our young children…With most of those years, as a first grade teacher….

Many of my young children…coming from diverse home situations; different cultures and different ethnicities…

These beautiful children taught me how open they were to knowledge and love…

From this wonderful experience, I learned that our children do see beyond our differences…with such openness and acceptance…It is what happens throughout their lives, if the acceptance for others’ differences… will continue into adulthood…

  1. Hello Dear Janis, I have to wonder at times if we’ve lost our humanity. There was a time………but now it seems the greater our affluence, the greater our indifference to those in need. But events towards equality are happening at a pace. Take care, love, joy and peace, Andrew.
